Letter from the President
With every passing year I find myself reflecting more and more as I look to the unforged road ahead; it must be an age thing. The concept of home was instilled in me at a young age as my parents immigrated to this great country for one reason, to give our family a better life and to be able to raise us in a home that they could call their own. Their story constantly reminds me of how fortunate I am to do what I do for a living.
Since our inception as a company I have always believed that our success would not be built from a grand business plan, but from the idea that if we were passionate about what we did, cared more, worked harder, and constantly tried to change lives, good things would happen. What started out as us wanting to be one of the best builders in our market has grown to over 1300 families entrusting us to have build their home.
The journey to where we are as a company has not been easy, journeys worth taking never are. We have achieved some great milestones as a team of people but what has inspired me the most is not the number of homes that we have built, but the lives we have changed and the relationships that have touched ours.
I often get asked what the favorite part of my job is; it is the people. To quote Richard Branson:
Success in business is all about the people, whatever industry a company is in, their employees are the biggest competitive advantage.
I work with some of the greatest people, minds and hearts that I know of. Our team does most of the heavy lifting these days but they are guided by our Core Values and we have never lost sight of how we started.
